When Is The Last Of Us Multiplayer Game Releasing?
With Naughty Dog currently still working on the project, fans should not expect to see the title released until 2023 potentially in its latter stages. After being revealed alongside The Last Of Us Part 1 Remake at Summer Game Fest earlier this year, Neil Druckmann stated the game was still within its development stages and won't be revealed until sometime next year, which leaves us with the concept art alone for now.
Given the project's treatment being equal to that of a story-driven standalone game, fans may be waiting for some time in terms of a release, considering Naughty Dog's previous history of ensuring their titles were playable without any game-breaking bugs.
This was the case with The Last Of Us Part 2, which was delayed indefinitely due to COVID in 2020.

What Can We Expect? – The Last Of Us Multiplayer
As Neil Druckmann made it clear that writers and developers will be working hard at providing a full-fledged story within this online experience, fans can certainly expect a new and unique multiplayer mode.
Based on Naughty Dog's care and attention to their Uncharted and Last Of Us franchises in the aspect of the story, cutscenes, twists, and turns, the chances for an extension to the main campaign's plot points are high.
There will be a change in both the location and cast of characters here, but there will be a maintenance of the overarching plot from both Part 1 and 2. Given the high amounts of positive reception The Last Of Us Factions received, players should look forward to an overhauled and revamped experience, and may even be free to play.
