Modern Warfare 4 introduces a revamped weapon system focused on making gunplay more precise, responsive, and immersive. Improvements to aiming, handling, visuals, and audio are designed to create a more consistent combat experience:
- No hipfire bloom: shots now land where the weapon is aimed, making hipfire more reliable and predictable.
- Refined recoil and handling: weapon behavior has been reworked to better match player input and improve overall control.
- Improved visibility: updated visual effects make enemies easier to spot without compromising realism.
- More natural weapon response: firearms react more consistently to movement, stance changes, and environmental conditions during combat.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is the sequel to Modern Warfare III (2023), continuing Captain Price's story and putting players right into a major global conflict along the border between North and South Korea.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be released on October 23, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam, Battle.net, and Nintendo Switch 2.
