Gears of War E-Day launches with 6 brand-new Versus maps, all set in and around the war-torn city of Kalona. They are rooted in classic Gears map design, with symmetrical structure and a focus on cover positions, fronts and lanes.

Gears of War E-Day will have 5 themed post-launch Seasons, bringing new maps, modes, characters, and events to keep things fresh. Kicking off with launch season, Season 1: Emergence.

Gears of War E-Day Versus Launch Modes:
At launch, Gears E-Day Versus will feature 4 core modes:
- Team Deathmatch: Classic TDM experience.
- Conquest: A King of the Hill mode where teams hold the zone until they score.
- Demolition: Teams battle for control of a neutral bomb that must be delivered and planted at one of two enemy bombsites.
- Crucible: Carry the Power Core and hold it inside the zone to score as the zone moves and shrinks.

Gears of War: E-Day is releasing on October 6, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. Just like other Microsoft titles, it will be available on Game Pass at launch at no additional cost.
