How Kaoson Works in Borderlands 3
Kaoson is a very specific weapon, introduced with the update of the Mayhem system called Mayhem 2.0. It gave us several new weapons.
It shoots fast projectiles in either burst fire or full auto modes. They put sticky explosives on the enemies that explode after a little time. They get Splash Damage bonuses and Area of Effect Damage increases. You can melt your opponents with the right setup.

How to Get Kaoson in Borderlands 3
In order to get the weapon, you must play on Mayhem Level 6 or above. You want to finish the main mission from the base game: "Impending Storm".
After completing the mission and killing Captain Traunt, you will be able to return to this map and farm him. It is a boss that has health and shield bars. You will need to use radiation or shock for the shield phase and fire against the health phase. After doing so, there is a 16.5% chance of getting the Kaoson.
It has a low drop chance, especially if you are looking for a specific anointment.
