With the end of February just around the corner, it is your last chance to catch some critters before they disappear for at least a few months.

If you are not a fan of in-game time travelling, but do not want to wait that long to fill your Critterpedia with these new entries, take a look at the list below and make sure you have all of the bugs, fish, and other sea creatures in your collection (and also among your museum’s exhibits!).

Northern Hemisphere

Bugs leaving after February

As the Northern Hemisphere was going through winter, there were not so many bugs up for grabs, to begin with.

Three of them, however, are going to leave the island at the end of the month:

  • Damselfly - Can be found flying around the island all-day
  • Dung Beetle - This bug is usually pushing snowballs around and you can look for it the entire day
  • Rajah Brooke’s Birdwing -Can be found around purple flowers between 8 am and 5 pm

Fish leaving after February

  • Blowfish - You can find it in the sea between 9 pm and 4 am
  • Pond Smelt - contrary to what the name suggests, you can find it in rivers and they are active all day.

Sea creatures leaving after February

  • Oyster - you can dive in search of it all-day
  • Sea Pig - active between 4 pm and 9 am
  • Sweet Shrimp - active between 4 pm and 9 am
  • Venus’ Flower Basket - active all-day

Southern Hemisphere

Bugs leaving after February

The Southern Hemisphere is going to say goodbye to a lot of bugs this month as the summer days are ending.

If you are hunting for exotic beetles, you need to hurry - almost all of them are going to disappear in a few days.

  • Brown Cicada - Can be found on trees between 8 am and 5 pm
  • Evening Cicada - can be found on trees between 4 am and 8 am and between 4 pm and 7 pm
  • Giant Cicada -can be found on trees between 8 am and 5 pm
  • Robust Cicada - can be found on trees between 8 am and 5 pm
  • Cicada Shell - can be found on trees all-day
  • Common Bluebottle - active between 4 am and 7 pm
  • Great Purple Emperor - active between 4 am and 7 pm
  • Blue Weevil Beetle - can be found on coconut trees all-day
  • Drone Beetle - can be found on trees all-day
  • Jewel Beetle -  can be found on tree stumps all-day
  • Scarab Beetle - can be found on trees between 11 pm and 8 am
  • Cyclommatus Stag - can be found on coconut trees between 5 pm and 8 am
  • Giant Stag - can be found on trees between 11 pm and 8 am
  • Giraffe Stag - can be found on coconut trees between 5 pm and 8 am
  • Golden Stag - can be found on coconut trees between 5 pm and 8 am
  • Miyama Stag - can be found on trees all-day
  • Horned Atlas - can be found on coconut trees between 5 pm and 8 am
  • Horned Dynastid - can be found on coconut trees between 5 pm and 8 am
  • Horned Elephant - can be found on coconut trees between 5 pm and 8 am
  • Horned Hercules - can be found on coconut trees between 5 pm and 8 am
  • Walking Leaf - this bug is disguised as a furniture leaf on the ground near trees and you can find it there all-day

Fish leaving after February

  • Frog -  can be found in ponds all-day
  • Giant Snakehead - can be found in ponds between 9 am and 4 pm
  • Killifish - can be found in ponds all-day
  • Napoleon Fish - can be found in the sea between 4 am and 9 pm
  • Squid - can be found in the sea all-day

Sea creatures leaving after February

Only one creature disappears this month - it is the Vampire squid, which you can find between 4 pm and 9 am.
