With the brand new Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut DLC, we also got four new class mods, one for every Vault Hunter. Today, I will take a look at the new Moze Class Mod, called “Heat Exchanger”.
New Moze Class Mod Explained
This new Moze Class Mod works as a supplement for your Iron Cub builds. It does not have any hidden mechanics, and Heat Exchanger is definitely not the strongest class mod for our explosive Vault Hunter. Nonetheless, it adds an 80% damage increase if we are using Minigun with any augment.
The most interesting thing about this class mod is the ability to get +4 points into Feature Creep which is a 1 point skill. This means we can get 5 points into this skill and make the increase of 90% damage for our Iron Bear/Iron Cub, as well as 225% Damage Resistance. That is one tanky Mech Boi.
Heat Exchanger Class Mod Specification
Special Ability: Iron Bear and Iron Cub gain up to 80% more Minigun damage based on their weapon’s heat level.

Is Heat Exchanger Meta?
Sadly, no.
This class mod is supposed to be used in Iron Bear or Iron Cub builds without going into the blue tree with splash damage. However, the 80% damage increase is simply not enough to make it a meta build at the moment.
Even though it is not one of the best class mods for Moze, it still can be used in some builds. I have an idea for Moze Iron Cub build that I will share with you shortly. It is a fun class mod to play around with on Normal mode or even True Vault Hunter mode without end game Mayhem levels.
New Moze Build
I will present a brand new Moze build that will make use of this class mod soon. It is a work in progress at the moment. This article will be updated as soon as the build is ready to go.
