When Does The Sniffer Get Added to Minecraft
The 1.20 update is When Does The Sniffer Get Added to Minecraft and it is any time next year. We can't exactly say when the update will be happening but we can be sure it will be in 2023.
The Sniffer hatches from eggs and these eggs only spawn underwater. The egg was found in Ancient Ruins, so that may be where the eggs will spawn in 1.20.

What Does The Sniffer Do in Minecraft
Once hatched, the Sniffer will find plants underground and dig them up for players. Mojang suggested that they have an idea of adding a lot of new plants to the game if Sniffer won a voting process. New plants could mean new items and new farms.
There is also the possibility that instead of for example potatoes and carrots growing on the dirt block they will be growing inside of the block as it is in real life. Then Sniffer could be able to detect already grown vegetables and acquiring them would be much easier.
In the coming months, there will be more information regarding the Sniffer. Until then we can just speculate When Does The Sniffer Get Added to Minecraft and what will happen in the game once the Sniffer is added.
