The Sims 5 Release Date – Project Rene Release Date

The Sims 5 release date has not been announced yet. The only clue we have is that it will be several years until we get the new Sims game.

When Can We Expect The Sims 5 Release Date?

The Sims 5 or rather Project Rene which is a codename for the new Sims game is said to be prepared as the next generation of The Sims. It will likely have another name than the two previously mentioned and will start this so-called next generation.

Everything we know right now about the release of the next Sims game is that it will be the fastest in 2024, which is most likely that it will be later, and that it will stay as the newest Sims game for at least as long as The Sims 4 which is now 8 years and until the release of the new game it will be at least 10 years.

What Will Happen With The Sims 4?

The base game of The Sims 4 will go free to play. The next Sims game is said to be a kind of renewal for the franchise but will "stay true to what The Sims has always been while pushing to evolve how those Sims think and behave".

Alongside making and developing the next game that will appear on our monitors, there will be also continuously added content to the current Sims game which is The Sims 4 in form of new DLCs.
