How to Complete Recon By Fire Mission in Modern Warfare 2 (2022)
After Hassan's interrogation, the ninth mission Recon By Fire starts. The first proper sniper mission begins. You need to crawl through the grass following your squad members. The camo on the weapon looks great.
You also have a thermal vision on your scope. Press the left thumbstick to change the zoom and hold it to stabilize your breath to shoot more precisely.

Take down enemies in the distance and crawl your way forward. Wait near the road for the vehicles to pass, and do not get up at any cost. Crawl towards the road and inside the sewer tunnel to the other side of the road.
You can now switch your position from prone to crouch for a while for faster movement by pressing circle on PlayStation or b on Xbox. Crouch once again when the enemies approach.
Hide your gun with Righ on the d-pad right on PlayStation and Xbox and do not move until enemies come closer. See where the enemies are going and try to avoid them, if they are going right at you move slowly to the side so they do not step on you directly.
After the patrol passes through, make your way toward the stone structures. You'll be introduced to the heartbeat sensor and you can see if the buildings are clear. Follow Captain Price along the path.
You'll get an upcoming call, where you can choose different answers from the caller. Go past the ridge still behind Captain Price, not much action in this section.

Lay down on the ground next to Captain Price and do the recon of the bay area, take down the targets you need to kill. Synchronize the shots with Captain Price. He will tell you how many notches you need to adjust your scope to.
You can move around the hill to adjust your position and get a clear shot. If you aim at the target Captain Price will also tell you if you should shoot or not.
All you need to do in this section is follow Captain Price's orders and take out all the enemies silently from the distance. You will have a couple of options to respond to Captain Price after eliminating the targets. You will still need to go alone towards the base down the hill and he will cover you.
Be careful as the vehicles approach. You might have to use the grass to your advantage. You can either kill the enemies or stealthily avoid them by hiding and not moving, waiting for them to pass.
Your job is to reach the buildings and clear the insides of them from the enemies. You can press the Touchpad on PlayStation you can see your current objective and its location. Approach the warehouse, and you can open the door, bash it or look below the door to see if anyone is inside. Use that to your advantage.

There are several options to get inside the building. You can either destroy the doors, use tear gas on the vents or kill enemies through skylights. It's up to you what you do here, but the goal is to defeat the enemies either way.
Open the white container to find a lot of narcotics and weaponry. There will be tons of drugs there. Get out of the building and just make your way through the compound eliminating all enemies with the help of Captain Price from afar. You can use the golden weapons from the container.
Clear another warehouse, again using one of the three methods mentioned before. You need to interact with the map on the table in the second warehouse. It will help you navigate toward the target of your mission.

Now you need to meet Captain Price outside of the compound. Follow him towards the lighthouse and repeat the recon process. Aim for the head because enemies are wearing heavy armor.
Approach the lighthouse and once more avoid the patrols while laying on the ground or eliminate them all. Go to the lighthouse and clear all the buildings there. Make your way through them all, clearing every room so no one will get a chance to flank you.
Look for the secret area, it is hidden behind one of the laundry machines. There will be a drop-down in there and you need to descend by pressing Square on the PlayStation Controller.
Follow Captain Price through the underground corridors until you reach the cave with the submarine. Eliminate the threat in the area and wait for the conversation to resolve.
You will see boats approaching in the distance on the waters. Laswell is taken by the enemy forces, regrouping with Price to finish up the mission and triggering the cutscene, thus ending Recon By Fire in Modern Warfare 2.
